Since 2019

Travel writing you can actually use

TravelVista USA started as one traveler's notebook and grew into a publication of 40+ contributors covering all 50 states.

Our Story

Built by people who'd rather be on the road

TravelVista USA began in 2019 when our founder, Sarah Johnson, got tired of guides written by people who'd clearly never set foot in the places they described. She started publishing her own trip notes — real costs, real timing, real opinions.

Seven years later, that notebook has grown into a team of editors and a network of guest contributors covering road trips, national parks, city breaks and everything in between, for a community of 25,000+ monthly readers.

We still hold every piece to the same bar: if the writer hasn't actually been there, it doesn't get published.

What we stand for

First-hand only

Every guide is written by someone who actually made the trip — no desk research passed off as experience.

Practical over pretty

Costs, timing and logistics come first. The Instagram shot is a bonus, not the point.

Honest recommendations

We turn down sponsorships that would make us recommend somewhere we wouldn't send a friend.
